The Hardest Climb

Highlights

Pico de las Nieves, the highest point of Gran Canaria, can be reached by many roads. This one is the most brutal. Whereas the classic way from the south ambles to the top in about 46 km, our ascent does it in barely 30. Much of the gained height is in a punishing section following a village called Pasadilla, where your mettle and resolve will be tested as the gradients pitch well above 20%. Once over the top, savour the hard-earned views, before our terrific descent takes us southwards and home.
