Rider levels for our tour program

Introduction

In general, our tours are aimed for riders of level Intermediate, Advanced and Expert. Participation in the featured race events is more individual, and some of the races may also be suitable for riders in the Casual category. Unfortunately, we don't provide services for Beginners.

Our group rides are not for beginners, but for the sportive cyclist. We cover around 600 km and 15000 climbing meters in a week. The rides vary in distance from 80 to 115 km and from 1700 to 3400 climbing meters. A full week of 6 rides and a recovery day would be a good training block for any sportive cyclist.

Gran Canaria and the Alps are mountainous areas (which we love) and that implies some good long steady climbing. If you live in a flat area, you can’t compare your average speeds from home with here. Your usual pace may be as much as 5 km/h higher than what you can expect in a mountainous terrain with the same effort. And because of that, we also recommend to use a compact crankset (50/34) and a cassette with minimum 28t.
